TEHOS - Artist Biography
TEHOS - Artist Biography

Tehos is a French contemporary artist born in 1966. Multidisciplinary in his approach, he utilizes collage, painting, photography, video, and installations, with a unique extension into inclusive artworks within virtual worlds.

At the core of Tehos' artistic philosophy lies a fascination with the intersection of language and art. His works have been exhibited and disseminated in numerous countries.

Tehos' work extends beyond traditional mediums. He illustrated the cover of Amir Gutfreund's book "The Legend of Bruno and Adèle" (Sapir Prize winner). He also created the poster for the Salon Art Monaco 2014 and the cover for Elan Atias' (former lead singer of The Wailers) 2020 single, "You Are Not Alone."

Several of his artworks have repeatedly accompanied articles in the French and international editions of the newspaper Le Monde Diplomatique.

In 2020, his "double heads" were displayed on over 1,000 screens, including several giant screens in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, reinforcing his presence and influence. They also serve as the symbol for a prestigious Californian wine.

A multi-award-winning artist, Tehos notably received the AIAP UNESCO Jury Prize in December 2011 for his film titled "Les Arbres Cinétiques" (Kinetic Trees). His film "The Case," created entirely using artificial intelligence, was screened at the Nice Conservatory in November 2024.

Since 2008, Tehos has developed the Tehos Art Lab in the metaverse, a virtual workspace, research center, and exhibition space. He has undertaken several interactive projects with a number of institutions.
